Late 1800s English Travel Writing Desk

This exquisite piece is a true example of artisan woodworking.  The purpose, the design, the inlaid wood --- all combine to show the care and thought that went into this oh so long ago.  Hidden compartments for paper and pen (or quill) along with inkwell bottles.  We even have the key.  We found this in New Orleans and knew it had to be part of our LuxSense stable of offerings.
