How do I purchase a LuxSense product?

At LuxSense, we simply 'Make Sense.' We believe there are small yet significant moments in life that many of us would like to be notified about, and we feel the technology that makes this possible should be wrapped in the most beautiful packaging. That's why we integrate our innovations into the finest, artisan-crafted wood boxes available—often one-of-a-kind and always stunning.

specific vision in mind, please reach out to us. Our artisan partners
are eager to bring your unique ideas to life.

Select the sensor package that best meets your notification needs. Each option is designed to cater to specific scenarios:

  1. PIR Motion Sensor: Ideal for detecting general and wide-range activity within most rooms.
  2. Ultrasonic Sensor: Best for monitoring specific presence within about 4 feet of the device, perfect for close-range detection.
  3. Light/Dark Sensor: Receive alerts when light intensity falls below or rises above your predetermined settings.
  4. Fireplace Active Sensor: Uses an infrared detector to recognize flames. For optimal results, position it within 18 inches of the fireplace.
  5. Driveway Notification: Integrates our technology with the Dakota Alert Magnetic system to minimize false alarms and provide reliable driveway monitoring. Note: You will need to mount the Dakota equipment along your driveway; all necessary hardware is included.
  6. Air Quality Sensor: Alerts you if carbon monoxide (CO) levels reach dangerous thresholds or if volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are detected.
  7. Temperature/Humidity Sensors: Allows you to set thresholds that trigger notifications based on environmental changes.

Each sensor is housed in one of our beautifully crafted, artisan wood boxes, combining functionality with elegance.

Every LuxSense product includes 90 days of complimentary service and
support. Beyond this period, you can choose from a variety of service
plans tailored to meet your specific needs, ensuring continuous
protection and assistance.

What is LuxSense?

LuxSense is a small business that specializes in providing
innovative and artistic solutions (think gorgeous AND smart sensors) that help satisfy our ever present
desire to know what is going on -- all while providing wonderfully
beautiful products. 

What kind of services does LuxSense offer?

LuxSense offers a wide selection of artisan created 'enclosures'
designed to conceal our innovative hardware and software.  Permitting
you to know more about what is happening - even if you are not home.
 And we provide the ongoing monthly service and support to assure your satisfaction.

Does LuxSense charge a monthly fee?

Absolutely! With LuxSense, you enjoy complimentary monthly service for the first 90 days (nearly 3 months! 😉). Following this introductory period, we offer convenient subscription options for ongoing service.
Simply visit our store to purchase service plans tailored to your needs,
available in 1, 2, or 3-year increments for each device. Additionally, we offer unlimited device plans for seamless management of multiple devices.

What are the LuxSense technical requirements?

LuxSense products require a consistent connection to your home
WiFi network with internet access.  And, at this time, we require the
cell phone to be an Android device.

Can a LuxSense product send notifications to multiple phones?

Each LuxSense product can only be configured to notify one cell phone.

Can LuxSense notify us of fire, smoke, burglary, or other emergency?

NO! LuxSense products are not designed for serious security
related events and are only to be used for satisfying our insatiable
curiosity :)

What can a LuxSense product sense?

Great question.  We have found that there is usually technology
components out there that makes most ideas possible.  To date -- we can sense proximity, motion, changes in light, flame presence (a version of Infrared light), nasty gas presence, water, noise levels, temperature, humidity, and more.  We encourage you to challenge us.

What happens if I stop paying the LuxSense service fee?

Well -- we become sad.  You get to keep a really cool wooden box. My kids will eat bread and water.

Is there a warranty, implied or written?

Well sort of -- this is it. Only the LuxSense circuit boards, sensor, and software are warrantied to work for 1 year from purchase. The artisan enclosure and other technologies (if present) are not.
